The Dragon Navigator Program (DNP) is your journey to success through community building, academic support and leadership development. DNP was created in 2015 to create a community of support at Drexel for students from underrepresented populations, including students who identify as African American/Black, Hispanic/Latino, and Pacific Islander.

Attending college can be daunting, from adjusting to a new environment to balancing school, home, and even work. For some students, college can even present a new set of challenges. Luckily, there are resources on campus to support you through your successful journey as a Drexel Dragon, such as the Navigator Program. Support for the program is cultivated through engagement with volunteers who are professional staff and faculty, or “Navigators,” as well as upperclass peer mentors who are matched with you to assist in your journey as a first-year student at Drexel. Your mentors will also be able to connect you with resources around campus to assist you in meeting your academic, personal, and professional goals.

Through the network created within the program, you as a scholar will have the opportunity to connect with the various student organizations and academic resources on campus. You will be able to participate in workshops and other activities throughout the year. Events are hosted by various departments and organizations at Drexel and within the larger Philadelphia community.
